Early American leather fire bucket (12″ h, 9″ dia), filled with twelve 18th/19th c. land documents from the Albany, NY (Bethelem, etc.) area, including Indentures, Deeds, Wills & Testaments, (one dated 1801 and “Supporting during the lifetime of a negro woman slave named Beth and the negro man slave named Joe, property of the late Hendrick Van Wic with good comfortable provisions and Cloathing”).
