Pine, refinished (this was originally painted chrome yellow), top with shaped sides, raised front and backsplash, circular cutout for wash bowl, and a corner shelf on left side, above an inset panel door with applied molding, through mortise and double diagonal pegged, paneled ends with applied molding, all on a turned leg, with unique pine attached blanket box with single breadboard lid (25 1/2″ h, 27 3/4″ l, 20 1/2″ d), supported on turned legs, (original painted red on interior), chamfered interior corner extensions develop into the turned feet, finely dovetailed construction on right side, c. 1840-1850, 32″ h (wash stand), 51 1/2″ l (overall), 21″ d.
