Collection of four pieces: two fully filled out Chantauqua Literary and Scientific Circle (1888-89 and 1889-90) tests taken by Sister Anna Dodgson of Mt. Lebanon, NY (the community teacher after Sister Polly Reed), minor toning and some fold separations along outer and inner edges, three small pieces missing along lower central fold, 10 1/2″ x 7 3/4″ (folded); a short poem about meeting department Shakers in Heaven, written on a Mt. Lebanon Road Warrant in pencil, one stanza consisting of nine lines, author unknown, Road Warrant signed “Orin Haskins”, paper toned and a few small tears along edges (less than 1/2″), 3″ x 8″; and an unused Reward of Merit titled “Honorable Testimony” for use in writing exercises, moderately toned, 3″ x 5″.
