Maple and pine, original dark cherry red painted finish, four finely formed fingers, copper tacks and small steel points, fine condition and color, c. 1830-1840, (note: some light sewing wheel marks on lid indicates possible use as a Sister’s sewing box), 4 1/8″ h, 10 1/8″ l.
