Lot 134: Tripod Stand

Cherry and chestnut, original dark stained varnish finish, simple graduated and turned shaft, attached to round top with circular “doughnut” with four inset screws, tripod base with original metal plate, old pegged repair to one leg at curve, and an edge scuff on top, labeled underneath “Candlestand, dining room…”, from the Belfit collection, descended through the family to this auction, c. 1840-1850, 26″ h, 16″ dia.
