Oil on academy board of the Old Church, Canterbury, NH, shows a three-quarter view of the Church with stone walk, fences and trees, signed l.r. “C.H. Sarle”, on back is a white, rectangular sticker with red border “10 x 14 6.00”, unframed; includes two letters from Sister Lillian Phelps dated Dec. 10, 1953 and June 25, 1954 describing the painting (note: journal entry says 1955).
