Maple and pine, original light brown stained varnish finish, three fingers, fixed with small copper tacks, tiny wood points, New Lebanon, NY, c. 1820-1830, 2″ h, 5 1/4″ l; Early large oval box, maple and pine, original light brown wash finish, five fingers, small copper tacks and points, (note: top band is somewhat darker than base but fits snugly and appears to be original), 5 1/2″ h, 13 1/4″ l.
