Hot water kettle on stand, hinged melon shaped lid with whippet finial, hinged paw foot leaf and scroll handle, melon shaped pot with incised floral decoration, four scrolled leaf decorated legs, with claw feet on decorated pads, central cartouche inscribed “Presented to William Spencer Esq., by the overseers and others, at the Hamilton Print Works, as a token of their regard, Lowell, June 24, 1851”, signed on base “Crosby & Brown, Pure Coin, Boston.”, hinged base with two locking keys, (Spencer family history on a paper inside pot), original burner, good overall condition, 11″ h (to finial), 13″ h (to top of handle), 10″ w (from spout), 62.35 ozt.
