19th c. band box, oval pine lidded box covered with blue wallpaper, decorated with scenes, swan in a castle moat, flowers and trailing leaves and vines, labeled inside “Hannah Davis, Jaffrey, N.H.”, with lined newspaper dated 1833, (Note: sold to Priscilla Archibald in the 1980’s by Willis Henry Auctions), overall wear, crack in wood on back side, small clip out of lid rim, some paper loss, 8 1/2″ h, 12″ l, 9 1/4″ w, (ex. Archibald estate, Powder Point, Duxbury, MA).
