Dodge, New York, c. 1820, half-length portrait of young Mr. Parks, wearing a blue coat with brass buttons, cream colored vest and white frilled stock, light green background, inscribed in pencil on the reverse “Painted John W. Dodge, New York, Finished June 3, 18___, Likeness of Mr. Parks, Father of Mr. Wm. Parks; Broker of New York.”, in the original deep set, oval cut, pine frame in original red and gold painted finish, original brass loop hanger at top, 16″ x 13 1/2″ (oval), exhibited at the Morris Museum, NJ Collector Series, April-June 1991, The Fertig Folk Art Collection, (ex.
