Rowe”, and inscribed on reverse “For himself and his affectionate Dog”, (note: L.K. Rowe is listed as a painter in Salem, Mass. in American Primitive Paintings by Jean Lipman, N.Y., 1942, p. 156; also printed in The Magazine Antiques, “A collection of American Folk Paintings, Oct. 1975, p. 770, Howard A. Feldman”), exhibited at the Lyman Allen Museum, New London, CT, 1935; and the Morris Museum, NJ Collector Series, April-June 1991, The Fertig Folk Art Collection; sold at Sotheby’s sale #5744, “The American Folk Art Collection of Howard and Catherine Feldman”, lot 28, June 23, 1998; 25 3/4″ x 18 1/2″, (ex.
