19th c. oil on canvas portrait of Jonathan Holman, possibly by John S. Blunt (1798-1835, The Borden Limner), see Nina Fletcher Little Little By Little, NY, 1984, Fig. 151, exhibited at the Morris Museum, NJ Collector Series, April-June 1991, The Fertig Folk Art Collection, relined, 30 1/4″ x 25 1/4″ (sight), 34″ x 28 3/4″ (frame), (ex. Fertig collection).

Since the Morris Museum exhibition took place in 1991, more research has been done, and is still in process of being written and soon to be published. This artist’s work is associated with “The Celery Tree” in the background and to the left in this portrait. See Nina Fletcher Little’s book Little by Little (New York, 1984), fig. 151, of a pair of portraits of Captain Amasa Wood and family who were from West Millbury, Massachusetts.
