Uchigatana koshirae, Shinogi-zukuri, loss of yokote, nagasa 65.4cm, 1.7cm torii-zori, iori-mune. Blackened brass mokko-gata tsuba, two seppa, blackened brass plain fuchi and kashira, Black ito over white composite sami and two black menuki indeterminate subject. Black lacquer wood saya missing kurikata. Poor condition. Shinogi-zukuri blade rust stains and some abuse visible to blade. Hamon difficult to see, potentially out of polish. Tang signed “Seki Fujiwara Yoshinao Saku” (Yoshinao II), early 20th c. Considerable rust stains.
