Three-color coverlet, wool and cotton, woven red, gold and blue on cream, decorated with rows of eight pointed stars, with multiple circles, blue with leaf and scallop designs, the motif in the border shows alternating Federal facing eagles and shields with white leaf and vines on blue, signed on two corners at foot in dotted blocks “W. in. MT Vernon, Knox County Ohio by Jacob and Michael Ardner, 1854.”, overall good condition with minor in-use wear, (ex. Dr. Oscar and Lois Hollander collection, Falmouth, MA).
