“Samson Fighting With The Lion”, woodcut by Albrecht Durer (Germany, 1471-1528), originally printed circa 1496-97, the Augsburg coat of arms suggests around 1580, a black impression from an already worn plate, Bartsch 2, Meder 107, c, two minor fold separations near the two bottom corners (less than 1″), toning and foxing appropriate to age, secured to top with archival tape, from the Roche family of Norwell, MA, 15″ x 11″ (sight).
