Horsehair plume from a British helmet similar to lot 227A, taken as a “Scalp Trophy” after the Battle of Cowpens, but most likely from the Battle of Guilford Court House; also a 1723 woods half penny, with the edge rolled over to make it a pocket charm; both items attributed to Garret Cronk, a member of “Light Horse” Harry Lee’s Legion, the coin is believed to be carried by him during his military service.
