Revolutionary War era, attributed to the Royal East Kent Regiment, 3rd Regiment of Foot (Infantry) who were in September 1781 engaged in the Battle of Eutaw Springs in S.C. against General Greene and “Light Horse” Lee, the leather helmet has brass “G, dragon, R” on front piece, and a “crown and III” on the brass edging of the top horsehair plumed ridge.
