Model 1860 cavalry saber, with brass hilt and leather grip, blade is stamped “U.S., 1864, A.G.M” on one side, and “C. Roby, W. Chelmsford, Mass” on the other side, with wear and scabbard, (note: A.G.M refers to U.S. Arms Inspector Alfred G. Manning; Christopher Roby (1814-1897) sword manufacturer, was also Commander of Troop F. Mass. Volunteer Militia), 40 1/2″ l.
