Early 1800’s polychrome and transfer decorated Liverpool, England, creamware pottery pitcher, “Success to America whose Militia is better than Standing Armies, May its Citizens Emulate Soldiers And its Soldiers Heroes, While Justice is the Throne to which we are bound to bend, Our Countrys Rights and Laws we ever will defend” appears around a military scene, under the spout the scene depicts a woman being rowed away from a ship, “Her lefs’ning Boat unwilling rows to land, Adieu she cried and wav’d her lilly hand”, an American ship is displayed on the other side, an “E” appears on the bottom, with wear and repairs, 9″ h.
