Two portraits of N.P. Banks: oval framed portrait of Banks as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, published by Brainard, Boston, 1856, water stained, 18″ x 15″ (frame); 19th c. framed studio card of General Banks in uniform, with his hand on his sword, “Green, 140 Court Street Boston”, 4 1/4″ x 6 1/2″ (card), 11 1/4″ x 9 1/4″ (frame); and his Sword, brass hilt with eagles and flags, carved and turned tortoise or horn handle, Roman soldier finger guard, Amer. Mfg. Co. Chicopee Mass, original scabbard with brass rings and raised brass clips with figures, Roman soldier, and a profile head, some rust and edge wear, but overall good condition, 38″ overall l, (consigned from the family of General Banks).
