This offset-printed softcover color catalog includes 112 pages of beautiful images, descriptions and histories of every lot in Shaker Auction 2013, Session I: The McCue Shaker Collection Part II, which will be auctioned at Hancock Shaker Village on September 7, 2013 at 11AM.

This catalog is an important document of one of the earliest and finest private collections of Shaker to be sold, the Collection of Drs. J.J. Gerald and Miriam McCue.

Original Shaker Furniture and Accessories, many pieces were exhibited at The Whitney Museum of American Art, The Smithsonian Institution, and The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Exceptional provenance from Dr. McCue’s journal documenting purchases from the Andrews, and the Shaker Sisters at Hancock, MA; Canterbury, NH; Sabbathday Lake, ME; and New Lebanon, NY.

The catalog includes biographies and photos of both Gerald and Miriam McCue as well as extensive notes on every auction lot, including a comprehensive Addendum presenting the provenances and Dr. McCue’s meticulously recorded histories of each piece in the auction.

The catalog has been fully, and beautifully designed in-house by Karel Henry, and the Willis Henry Auctions, Inc. staff.
The extensive cataloging and the wonderful photography was done by Willis Henry and Michael Fredericks.
