Pine and chestnut, original dark red painted finish, hand planed lid with wire hinges, Shaker tin repair at top, paper labels on front “Shaker Garden Seeds, raised at Tyringham, Mass.”, minor imperfections, c. 1820-1830, (note: this is the only Tyringham, MA seed box we’ve seen), chalk under lid refers to “…Onion” and “Cucumber” in pencil, 9″ h, 16″ w, 9″ d, (ex. Faul collection).
