Rowe”, and inscribed on reverse “For himself and his affectionate Dog”, (note: L.K. Rowe is listed as a painter in Salem, Mass. in American Primitive Paintings by Jean Lipman, N.Y., 1942, p. 156; also printed in The Magazine Antiques, “A collection of American Folk Paintings, Oct. 1975, p. 770, Howard A.
